How can I become an SIM Society Member?

Can a foreigner join as a member?


Yes, foreigners may join as a member. Please note that all applications for SIM Society Membership are subject to approval and you will be notified upon approval.




I did not study at SIM, can I join as a member?


Yes, you do not have to graduate from SIM to join as a member. Do note that all applications for SIM Society Membership are subject to approval and you will be advised of the membership category awarded to you.




How much are the membership fees?


Our membership fees include an entrance fee which is a one-time fee payable when you first join, and an annual subscription fee. The annual subscription is base on the calendar year and for new members, this will be pro-rated to the month when your application is approved. What are the privileges of an individual member?


As our member you will enjoy special rates at our membership events and activities, have access to our management library and e-resources, receive our management e-publications, enjoy invaluable networking opportunities with professionals and business leaders and more. How would I know which membership category to apply for?


All SIM membership applications are subject to approval. You will be notified of the membership category assigned to you upon approval.




How long does it take to process my individual membership application?


Membership applications are processed on a weekly basis. We can only process your membership application upon receiving your application form and all required supporting documents, including your CV and a certified true copy of your highest academic qualification/certificate.




I have applied for SIM Society membership but did not get any reply. What should I do?

I tried to apply for membership online, but it did not work. What should I do?


Please contact our membership staff on +65 6248 9489 or email us at membership@sim.edu.sg. We can also arrange to mail a hardcopy of the membership application form to you.




What is the validity period of the membership?


SIM membership is renewed on a yearly basis and it is valid for one calendar year upon your renewal.




I am not an SIM Society member, can I register for the membership and interest group activities?


Yes, you are welcome to attend our membership and interest group activities but registration will be at the non-members’ rate. We would like to highlight that as an SIM Society member, you will enjoy special rates at membership and interest groups activities. Please take the opportunity to join us to enjoy our many membership benefits and privileges.
